Who it’s for

A beginner starting residential work

  • You want to start a residential pressure washing business in the US, part-time or full-time.
  • You have roughly $1,500–5,000 to start, no industry background, and a lot of open questions.
  • You'd rather follow an ordered plan than assemble one from forty tabs and a dozen videos.
  • You may have no truck yet, or you may be planning a launch for your next warm season. Both are covered.
Who it’s not for

Honest boundaries, up front

  • Anyone who wants a roof-cleaning, commercial or fleet operation on day one. Those are deliberately left for later, and the Playbook says why.
  • People looking for hands-on technique training. The bag points you to the good free video for that; it teaches the business around it.
  • Anyone looking for an income promise. The numbers in the bag are real self-reports from operators, including the slow ones.
What you’ll be able to do

Seven things you’ll know how to do before your first job.

Know exactly what to buy — and what beginners regret

The 4 GPM rule, the kit by tier with dated prices, the parts that confuse people, and a used-rig inspection checklist.

Playbook ch. 4 · Startup Budget

See your real startup number and runway

46 itemized lines with low/typical/high estimates, an 'already own' column, operating costs, and a months-of-runway calculator.

Startup Budget (Excel / Google Sheets)

Price a job without the 30% underpricing mistake

A rate setter that turns your costs into a target hourly rate and minimum charge, a price sheet with Aug 2026 benchmarks, a job quote with a verdict, and a log that tells you when to raise prices.

Pricing & Quote Tool (Excel / Google Sheets)

Book your first ten customers without buying ads

Channels ranked by what beginners actually reported working, a four-week plan, and thirteen editable scripts — from the first text to the review ask.

First Customers Plan · Scripts

Use the right chemical strength on the right surface

Applied-strength table, batch-mix table, the jug test for your injector, a never-mix list, surface rules, plant protection, PPE and first aid.

Surfaces & Chemicals Field Guide

Know where the wash water can legally go

The federal pattern, seven verified city examples that disagree, and the three calls that get your local answer — plus drought, permits, lead paint and sales tax.

Local Rules & Wash Water Guide

Quote it, agree it, inspect it, close it out

A quote template, a plain-English service agreement with the federal cancellation notice, and the pre-job inspection, customer prep and close-out checklists.

Quote, Agreement & Job Checklists (Word)

Seven phases. One gate.

Start Here gives you a roadmap, and every file shows where you are on it. Phase 5 ends with the line that matters: you are now ready for a paying job.

Read the Playbook chapter for the phase, use the tool it points to, tick the checklist, move on. The reference files — Field Guide, Local Rules, Agreement Pack — come out whenever a phase calls for them.

What it doesn’t do

The boundaries, in writing

  • No income promises. The year-one numbers in the bag are operators' own reports, including the ones who struggled.
  • Roofs, wood restoration, commercial and hot-water work are deliberately left for later, with the reasons (insurance, injury risk, equipment).
  • It is not technique training and not legal, tax, insurance or safety advice. It tells you what to verify, where, and when it matters.
  • It is US-focused. Rules that vary by state or city are marked, with the way to find your local answer.
  • Prices, insurance figures and platform rules change. Everything is dated (researched August 2026) and the volatile figures are labeled as estimates.
How it was made

Researched, built, checked

  • Researched from roughly 500 sources: manufacturer and trade-association guidance, government pages and regulations, chemical safety data sheets, supplier price pages, insurer data, and several hundred practitioner threads and videos.
  • Every number is sourced or labeled as an estimate with its date. The Sources file lists the ones worth bookmarking, with links.
  • The spreadsheets are generated from tested code: every formula is checked against hand calculations, including edge cases and typos.
  • Reviewed adversarially before release: independent checks on accuracy, safety guidance, legal language, spreadsheet behavior and beginner usability, with the fixes made before this version shipped.

Questions

Before you buy

What exactly do I get, and how?

A ZIP with 10 components in 12 files: 8 PDF guides (105 pages total), 2 spreadsheets (.xlsx) and 2 editable Word documents (.docx). Two components come as a pair — the First Customers Plan (PDF) with its Scripts (Word), and the Quote, Agreement & Job Checklists (PDF plus the editable Word version). Checkout and delivery are handled by Payhip; the download is available immediately after payment and stays available from your Payhip link.

Do the spreadsheets work in Google Sheets?

They're built for Excel and Google Sheets: standard formulas only, dropdowns backed by list sheets, no macros. Yellow cells are yours; gray cells calculate.

Is this just information I could find on YouTube and Reddit?

Much of the underlying information is public, and the bag says so. What you're paying for is the research done and organized into one ordered path, the tools that actually calculate, the templates and scripts, and the safety and local-rules material that the free sources skip. It replaces weeks of tab-hopping with a roadmap.

Does it tell me what to charge in my area?

It gives you August 2026 benchmark ranges by service, a market-band selector, and a method for calibrating to your area in your first month. The tool then turns your own costs and hours into your target rate, and the job log tells you when you're winning too many bids.

Will it help if I'm in a cold climate or buying this in the off-season?

Yes. Seasonality is handled by climate, not by calendar: warm-climate operators work most of the year; seasonal-climate operators use the off-season for phases 1–5 and start marketing about six weeks before their first warm month.

What's the refund policy?

LaunchBags are instantly delivered digital products, so all sales are final once the download has been provided. We refund duplicate charges, and if a file won't open in the listed formats or the product is materially different from what this page says, we fix it — or refund if we can't. Change of mind isn't refundable. Details on the Refunds page.

Will it be updated?

Volatile figures are dated and labeled. We periodically review time-sensitive information and may provide updated files to existing customers when material updates are released.

Can I print it?

Yes. The PDFs are laid out for US Letter and read well in grayscale. The Field Guide and the checklists are designed to be printed and used on the job.
